Is Endodontics/Root canals Treatment Painful?

Most people associated with Root Canals/Endodontics treatment may experience pain and discomfort during and after the procedure. However, the pain which they feel is caused by an infection present in the tooth. A Root Canal treatment is done to reduce the pain which is caused by the infected pulp with the help of modern technology and use of local anesthesia this procedure is quick, typically pain-free, and a great way to save your tooth.

Post-Operative Care on Root Canal Treatments:

As anesthesia has been used while performing the treatment part of your mouth will be numb for a few hours after the procedure. Avoid hot beverages and chewing until the numbness has worn off.
Root Canals treatment is completed in 1 appointment but root canals therapy may take more than 1 appointment.
A temporary filling is placed to protect the tooth.
To protect the tooth and temporary filling avoid eating hard and sticky foods. It is better to chew on the other side of the mouth.
